Our Story

Before founding Manchester Financial in 1990, our President and Chief Investment Officer Robert J. Katch served as the Associate Treasurer of Pepperdine University for seven years. Prior to that, he worked at the “Big 8” accounting firm of Arthur Young and Company in Los Angeles in its Mergers & Acquisitions and International Corporate Taxation groups.

Robert’s passion to start Manchester Financial arose from his belief that financial planning and investment management could be more efficient and personalized than what he was seeing in the industry. He set off to help his clients benefit from the massively superior approach of institutional investors that was unavailable to individuals through the retail investment channels such as banks and brokerage firms.

Now, Manchester Financial continues to provide clients with savvy financial planning and astute portfolio management that are custom-designed to suit their specific situation and unique goals.
